we pay tax on it, after it was borrowed from the people here before
the money we use to buy the land is often borrowed
from companies that will let someone else borrow from them,
what they earn off you
the value represented is borrowed
from metals, materials, paper, shared beliefs
the stone we build upon is borrowed
and it will return where it was borrowed from
the entire experience is borrowed.
not from time, because that is constructed
even the energy perpetuating our lives is not our own
borrowed from the Everything, where it will return
its brief existence as something, entirely our perception
borrowed from the All to become distinct
until the distinct is just part of the All, again.
you are borrowed.
awareness, out of place in the expanse
transient in your oneness, on borrowed time, temporary ownership of yourself
this is why the sages say to not cling tightly to anything
you’re not taking anything with you
the empty handed are the most prepared
perhaps you won’t even take your “you-ness,”
one band in the spectrum of infinity.
