Sometimes it seems like the keyboard is the barrier to creative excellence
if these keys clicked a little better
with a little more inspiration
then I could be done by now
or the light
if this light was a bit more introspective
or had a certain romanticism about it
so would my words
the desk height is definitely off
a lack of perpendicularity to my arms is a large impact to creativity
the chair’s lumbar support is a factor too
but all of these things fall behind the more conceptual problems
does this little smudge on my glasses really affect my ability to see the words?
yes, yes it does
and thinking about these things creates a little smudge across my mind
it’s all I can see
even though I can see through it, it veils everything else I try to focus on
every time I try to wipe it away, I think I’ve just moved it around instead
so whenever I think I’m not good at anything
I don’t know what my standout trait or skill is
it’s this
it’s clearly seeing the thing, that is in the way of everything
and convincing myself that trying to wipe it away is not a losing battle.
